ACT Prep OPtions at South Nodaway....
There are a variety of ACT Prep options available for students at South Nodaway. A semester-long ACT prep class is offered each year at South Nodaway. This is offered at no cost to the student. This is probably the best and most comprehensive ACT prep we offer. However other options exist.
As with most things in life, you will only get out of ACT prep want you are willing to put into it. I would not recommend spending a lot of money on online test prep or test prep books, because these resources are usually available for free.
ACT PRACTICE TEST BOOKS
The simplest ACT prep is the box of free ACT Practice tests located in the counselor's office. These paper and pencil practice tests are old copies of the ACT test that the ACT has released for students to use to practice with. The answers to all of the questions are located in the back of the book so that students can check their own answers while practicing.
NUMBER2.COM
Another free and very good resource is www.number2.com. Number2.com offers free personalized ACT test prep help, personalized plans of study, practice test questions that are adjusted in difficulty by student performance, and ACT test tutorials.
REAL ACT PREP GUIDE
I also have a 2 copies of a book called the "Real ACT Prep Guide" which contains tips and hints for testing, as well as, practice tests. These books can be checked out from my office at anytime.
In addition the Northwest Missouri State University and Missouri Western State University also offer intensive ACT prep workshops. Can be found by searching for "ACT Workshop" on each university's website.
